After several months of meeting, praying, planning, reviewing, etc., we now have 5 candidates, matched by Converge Mid-America, that the search team will begin interviewing on Sunday, December 3rd. The interview process will be long on this day, so please pray for endurance for the entire search team. The search team will then meet on Monday, December 4th after completion of the initial interviews to discuss each candidate. From there, the search team will decide the next steps in the interview process for each candidate. Thank you Calvary Church for your continued prayer.
The Search Team completed another half day meeting with Converge to finalize the candidate profile requirements. These requirements define the characteristics of the pastor that Calvary Church is in need of. These results will be used as a tool for Converge to filter potential candidates. The Search Team also completed the job ad that Converge will begin posting on a wide range of online platforms. This will give high visibility to our pastoral need, and will mark the beginning of the pastor vetting process once potential candidates begin responding to the ad. We ask for your continued prayers as Converge and the Search Team begin the vetting process.
The pastoral search process is moving forward with unity and purpose!
This past Saturday the committee met for a half day session with conference leadership to outline the characteristics and values of the individual God is appointing to lead our congregation. Discussion was lively, much was accomplished, and a consensus was reached that we are looking forward to a person that will come to Calvary and form real relationships with both congregation and community. It strikes us as a team that there is a great desire within Calvary for authenticity and sincerity and that this person must value both! We thank you for your continued prayer and support.
